Outside of his professional life, Derek and his wife, Deanne, reside in Viera. Their grown sons, Jordan and Caden, also live locally. Derek is an active member of the Church at Viera and deeply involved in his community. Coaching has long been a passion—whether mentoring youth at CAV, guiding clients through financial milestones, or leading soccer teams at Viera High School for the past 10 years and Space Coast United Soccer Club for over 20 years.
